Stephen Whyte
Stephen started his working life in pharmacuticals with Proctor and Gamble before migrating to the Food Industry (Kerry Foods and Samworth Brothers). In 2006 he founded QADEX before building STAR Index in 2019. Stephen has a track record in business and supply chain management and is regularly consulted as a digital transformation subject matter expert. "STAR Index evolved from our vast experience of Supply Chain Risk Assessment and Management coupled with an understanding that Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing are key to the future. At STAR Index we believe everyone has a part to play in turning the world around on climate change, sustainability, responsible sourcing and ethics - and we want to make that journey as easy and efficient as possible for our customer partners in order to maximise positive results."

Rick Sanderson

Rick Sanderson
Rick first joined QADEX back in 2018 bringing with him the concept of STAR Index. Teaming up with Stephen helped to bring his idea to fruition and in 2019 STAR Index was born.
Rick has responsible sourcing in his DNA, from strategic procurement to building ethical supply chains, from gate to plate at local, national and international level, with a wealth of knowledge and experience across the global supply chain.

Steve joined the STAR team in 2022 to look after the development of the platform. Steve has a long track recording working in system design and development and is excited to be working on this project.

Nicola started with QADEX in 2006 and has had experience in Supply Chain Management, Specification Managements and Risk Assessment. She has worked on a number of large deployments and took on a bigger role in STAR during the summer of 2021.

Jeena Stephen
Jeena is probably the longest serving member of the team, with the exception of Stephen. Her role is to constantly look at the needs of STAR Index and create a slick and responsive digital environment for your business and ours.
